The sun sets on another day…
It’s funny, if you read all my posts, you’ll notice I try to keep the descriptions of sunsets a little different. They are all are different but sometimes it’s hard to discern the differences effectively.Tonight I had the opportunity to see something new, a series of clouds lined up in unique patterns. As I watched this guy, I was once again amazed.
It’s probably an easy question. Where has the time gone? I find myself asking the sky and things like that. I’m beautiful nights like tonight. I don’t expect an answer, but I know that somewhere out there. There is an echo telling me to pay attention.
I have mentioned Stephen Kings “Pretty Pony Time” many times. The story revolves around a child, thinking that the passage of time is unfair. For adults, it may be far worse.
Somewhere, in the midst of it all, it is sometimes far too easy to watch time pass away for too fast. It’s my opinion that time passes most quickly when we’re not paying attention to it, and Time passes slowly when we want it to pass faster.
In the movie “Click“ The main character has a remote that allows them to speed up, slow down, and pause time. They rapidly learn that messing with time is not a good idea. It’s not really a good idea for us either.
If there is any reason that I have for stating that we should enjoy every minute, it is to notate and clarify the passage of time. As we whine about the past or pine about the future we may easily find that the time we have spent doing that is like empty calories and has no meaning to us and time passes far too fast. I suppose life is like that.
For today I can only recommend that you take the time to enjoy your time and don’t time yourself, but have a good time. In the end, this will make you or help you enjoy life better.
So as the sun sets on another day, enjoy your time. Let it pass as it passes, but pay attention, and squeeze the life out of every moment. It is your moment to squeeze. Be your best self always, no matter what.
Sleep sweet, love life, and live in time…
