The sun sets on another day…
Sunset hid around every corner, but I knew it was there. I saw a reflection and I knew there was beauty. Then, at the last minute, I turned a corner and the day was complete. The sky was a masterpiece of light, and I got to share in a few brief moments as the sky slowed, and the world became dark.
Time
They say time flows like a river
and I know this much is true
the thoughts make me shiver
and I consider why I’m blue
they say time takes no prisoners
and slowly fades away
but here I sit shackled
by today’s and yesterday’s
they say time is a measure
and I know it could be
but time goes fast and slow now
and I’m not sure of what I see
I know time flies like an eagle
and other things they say
but why does time attack us all
each and every day
