The sun sets on another day…
I watched the sky and enjoyed the clocks tick as the reds and oranges blanketed the world. As twilight became night, I laughed and enjoyed it all.
There is an old proverb that noted that those who have not traveled think (someone, mom, etc) is the best cook. I read this and considered for a while. I then decided that I was the best cook and left it at that.
Let me explain. The idea behind the proverb was that we all need to widen our perspectives before we decide we know something. I took it a little further and strongly feel that we need to not only widen our perspectives, but we need to temper our perspectives to realize that we need to evaluate the world more effectively and keep growing always. In my case, we need to acknowledge the world, but rely on who we are to build and define ourselves.
Sound easy?
It might be.
Maybe we all should just like ourselves and keep going. Maybe we should take a moment, and smell a rose or two, and as we do so, let’s enjoy our own cooking.
So as the sun sets on another day, I know, strange post, but open your mind, accept choices and possibilities, do what is right, and perhaps we will all grow just a little. Grow as you can, no matter what.
