The sun sets on another day…
Sunset was full of clouds and still, there was a simple beauty everywhere. I smiled and laughed, and watched the sky become amazing for a moment until the clouds took it away. Any sunset is a gift.
One of the things that we learned very early on is that water is weird. The states of water are odd because at a cold temperature water expands and that a warm temperature water expands while the water itself becomes a universal solvent utilized for just about everything. When I was growing up there was constant worry about water over pollution and even though a lot of that is better it is still not great. It was easy for companies to use water because water washes away everything, right?
No this is not an environmentalist post, I’m just relaying some of the past. My point today is that I was thinking about clumpy water. Snow and ice and all of that cold stuff where water becomes a solid that has multiple properties. I was probably thinking about this because I was still digging the house out of the snow from a week ago and still frustrated with my progress. Water though fits a particular situation and always finds a way. The way of water is finding that way that is open to you and taking advantage of it even if it’s blocked from other ways. The way of water is also becoming steam and having the power to move the world.
How can we be like water?
Can we look for other options instead of trying to smash through one single way all the time? Can we mold to everything so that we cover all the bases and are constantly watching for that path that will give us success? Can we become rigid as necessary and hold our space only to move as needed and if we are put in a rough position can we unleash our power and move mountains?
I’d like to think that our best state is when we are like water and trying to move the world by whatever means necessary.
What do you think?
So as the sun sets on another day, let’s find the path that works. Let’s make the world a wondrous place that we can overcome one day at a time. We don’t need to use force but we can if we need to, instead let’s pay attention and find the best way to our particular ocean, no matter what.
Sleep sweet, love life, and clumpy water is a cool idea…
