The sun sets on another day…
It was a beautiful sunset as I rushed to an event to enjoy myself. The night became even more beautiful as I looked out to the sky and thought about the day.
I had a lot of fun working with a laser today. It wasn’t a giant laser like I used to work on, but it was still an exciting little tromp into the workings of a fun piece of equipment. When I was younger I was fascinated by lasers and I wrote designs for unique ways of building up light.
After all my writing a movie came out years later called Real Genius that took lasers to a new level. Whether it was true or bending the edges of science it was fascinating to me to consider the power of light and how things can work.
A few years later I worked on Industrial lasers with gigantic robotic controllers and made sure that the computers that controlled them stayed running. It was an amazing time as I worked inside of a building in a clean room making sure that the motion controllers and the lasers operated to the level necessary.
Now here I am again working with a much smaller item that burns through metal easily, and I hope I can solve the power problem over the next day. Yes it is fun.
Do you ever enjoy your job? Do you ever find the challenges necessary to make you feel excited? Do you understand the difference that you make even if it’s just to yourself?
In the end, life is amazing, and enjoying what you do makes it even better.
So as the sun sets on another day, I’m enjoying myself or at least I did today. I went from working on something fun to play in with people and doing dumb things. Find a path that makes you feel good about life and change the world in a positive way every moment you can, no matter what.
Sleep sweet, love life, and fire the laser…
