The sun sets on another day…
IT was cold, and that cold seemed to stifle the sunset as clouds rolled by and the wind wailed for attention. As we waited, and the world kept turning, I knew that high above there would be a sunset with intense beauty, and I was happy for that.
Last I checked there were about 7 billion people or so in the world and only one you. Believe it or not you are the only you there is and being you is special. Being you is the most special thing that you can be. No one can say different or take that away from you except, well, maybe you.
I sit here today with a heavier than normal heart thinking about all the people who just don’t realize how special they are, but have someone mistreat or hurt them in a variety of ways. IT tasks me, but I find a way to rise up, and I wonder when people will realize how special they are.
I recognize I have not always been treated well, but somewhere in the depth of it all, I find a way to overcome each and every negative with something new, and something more powerful: a passion to grow, to learn, and to be more. Somewhere inside it all, that opens a new doorway to amazement.
