The sun sets on another day…
It was a stunning sunset with many clouds but a clear path to tomorrow. The west was highlighted with milky reds and beautiful Moments. You could ask for little more.
I played trivia tonight and one of the sections was about South America. I was instantly frustrated by the whole idea of that as a topic. Of course I had had geography an incredible amount of time ago but could I remember anything about the lower part of our world?
The answer was maybe. As we played the game I found that some of the areas I just naturally remembered. Brazil, Argentina and a few more were very evident. What became the saving grace was my writing.
In my fifth book, Silent Sister, a great deal of the story takes place in Venezuela. I remember doing a significant amount of research about Venezuela and the surrounding countries so that I could be accurate in my description of the political climate and how each country interacts with the United States. Our section was not perfect but we did quite well.
Have you ever been in a situation where you needed to know something and suddenly realized that you recently did something about it? Have you ever been asked a question that you knew because of an odd series of circumstances? This was one of those moments.
My point is, do the extra work. Read a little more. Find the truth when no one else is looking. Be accurate when no one else wants to. Mostly make sure you are true to yourself always.
So as the sun sets on another day, we didn’t win, but we came in second. Actually we tied for first and didn’t win the tiebreaker. That’s not bad. I hope you find a similar situation and that you come in first, no matter what.
Sleep sweet, love life, and have an awesome night..
