The sun sets on another day…
Cold crisp and stunning, it is another day, but the skies were full of hope, and colorful lines.
Over the weekend I had the opportunity to play Mortal Kombat. I played the first version of the game in the arcade and later on numerous game consoles. Each character has different approaches to how to win and each character is quite unique, good or evil. This applies to the movies as well and they were a favorite while my children were in their teens. There is a lot about that game that stays with me including a hidden level behind “toasty” that I misheard as “woofy” and turned it in to a cult craze years later um a social media platform I started. Crazy stuff.
My point today is, in real life we choose our character as well. I like it when people choose the positive characters that find a way to win through positivity. There are equally as many that find other ways of winning, often at the expense of others. I don’t really like that, and I don’t really think it’s very acceptable.
The world is tough enough without us competing against each other and trying to destroy other people simply because they exist. There has to be another way.
Why not take the High Road? Why not try to be positive until it’s impossible to be positive? Why not accept the unacceptable until you can find a way to overcome the unacceptable? I guess the biggest question is, even if you have to find a way to win, why not win with style?
So as the sun sets on another day, I have not always been the person that I am. I’m probably not the person I was yesterday, I grow up a little more every day. I hope you can grow up with me and realize that even in the face of adversity you don’t have to be negative. Find a way to overcome and be positive every day, no matter what.
Sleep sweet, love life, and find a way…
