The sun sets on another day…
Something that went back and forth between clouds and not clouds. The cloudy times were beautiful as were the not cloud, but I think the clouds gave the sky a little more life. It’s funny how a few imperfections can make things just a little more beautiful.
This weekend there was a prompt with one of the writing groups I sometimes enjoy. The prompt was of a soldier from England. It’s difficult to explain how some things affect me. People who have tried to protect their country attack me in different ways. I am often remorseful for what they encountered and perhaps more.
As I wrote in this prompt it took on a life of its own and somewhere in the middle it became a treatise on the idea of hate and peace. A strange line to be sure, but perhaps not as strange as I was originally thinking. After all the idea of war and hate have been around for some time and those who believe in the power and fury of war are offset by those who believe in protesting for peace.
I wish there was a good answer for it all. As we walk down the valley of our life it becomes increasingly obvious that our lives take on different paths quite often and that division between people is pretty common. I wish it wasn’t so, but it appears I’ve written about it several times slightly. Ohh well.
Maybe the answer is more simple, maybe we just need to pay attention to our lives and in the process try to understand that sometimes peace is the answer, and sometimes it’s not. If we can accept that, we can truly grow.
So as the sun sets on another day, I find peace every day. I hope you do too. I hope you realize that peace is an important part of our life, but when someone tries to take that away just remember that peace isn’t always the answer. If we have only 29,000 sunsets, each one is precious and deserves to be nurtured to its fullest. Find your peace and try to maintain it, no matter what.
Sleep sweet, love life, and keep living…
