The sun sets on another day…
Sunset was cloudy and gloomy but I still held hope that somewhere high above the world was bathed in crimson light. It was a good day.
It has been a long time since we had our pictures taken. Today we visited a Christmas tree farm and an up-and-coming photographer took the pictures. I didn’t expect much, but what I got was a little bit of fun, and a lot of laughs.
For a moment I was reminded of my own studio and all of the great pictures that were taken there. The people I dealt with were a constant source of amazement, and I enjoyed finding a way to catch just a moment and perhaps a little more.
We tend to take for granted what a miracle a picture can be. In our world of constant selfies and snaps of pictures we seem to think that a large photograph isn’t as important anymore. It is. Not because it’s any better or any worse, but because every once in a while it’s nice to have a picture to remind us of who we are and not a selfie that will be lost in a sea of pictures a few moments later.
So as the sun sets on another day, I hope you enjoy every moment of your life, and I hope somewhere you immortalize it with not just a phone recorded selfie but with a picture that will stand out and immortalize you. You are special. Make your memories and hold on to them tightly, no matter what.
Sleep sweet, love life, and enjoy the moments…
