The sun sets on another day…
Sunset was fantastic with a dark sky that gave way to a wonderful orb at the end of sunset. I could not have asked for a better ending to the day as I drove and smiled at the light. I was there, it was now, and it was wonderful.
I agree with the thoughts of an aphorist, that what we know is minimal, and that our entirety is like a grain of sand in an infinite beach. James Baldwin once said that forever is a series of nows. I think about that sometime and resonate with the idea that to be infinite, you have to be finite for a long time. It only seems to all make sense if you realzie that a lot of the all we are is transient and the growth of each of us is in what we do each day.
Or something like that.
The purpose of this rather odd post is just to let you know that you are an amazing moment in a series of amazements. You are that person who makes each day worth your while, and you are the one who will continue to make the world a better place because you are in it and because you are the center of your world and your perceptions.
I learned a long time ago that each day is an amazing gift, and I am sure that will come to you, if it is not already there. Wasting any slice of time is just cutting away at the wonderment you may experience, the magnificence of it all.
Now some people will read this and try to cut it down. They will find the negatives for every positive, and in the process, well, they will do exactly this to my demeanor: nothing. I will go on and be as positive as I can each day. That is the secret, you are the master of you. Stop letting anything pull you away. Stop living in the past and being hampered by its negatives, stop living in the future and being hampered by its false promises. Live for you, the best you, every day.
So as the sun sets on another day, thanks for being here. Thanks for reading. Mostly thanks for making your day special today just as I made my day pretty darn good as well. Be you, it is enough and more, no matter what.
Sleep sweet, love life, and remember what Joan Rivers said, “Looking 50 is great, when you are 60″…
