The sun sets on another day…
As I looked up on sunset, I could think of nothing but the beauty all around. The oranges and reds and eventual violets made the sky look like some so realistic painting, waiting for a canvas.
I’m pretty amazed at all of the AI that comes across my computer anymore. I continue to leverage AI for tasks that it’s good at, but I’m well aware of the tasks that it is not so good at. I have to admit that I thought about writing a post using AI and when I did, I went ahead and tried.
The resultant post made about as much sense as a screen door on a submarine. Of course, it had many references to beauty and the sunset, but it didn’t have heart or any type of passion. I thought about why I write and how I write and realize that each day I am sharing a vision of the world and what was missing from the AI was vision. How could we teach vision to a machine? How can we show A machine that the world is more than just words? 
It’s a tough question that we may be answering for a while as more and more people push to use AI and do some thing that they normally couldn’t do. I saw notation about writing for kindle using AI. And the post said you could publish a book and make lots of money just by using AI and that is possible but where is the heart? Where is the humanity? Where is the experience?
We have a long way to go, we may have even farther, but we need to start remembering what makes us real before there will come a time that my AI will answer your AI both acting like they’re us well neither of the AI’s understand the beauty of a sunset.
So as the sun sets on another day, I hope your day is spectacular. I hope you find a path that works for you. I hope that AI can open your mind but remember you are special and when everyone has AI, no one will be truly special if they rely on it. Keep being an individual human, no matter what.
