The sun sets on another day…
A brisk shower came from the west and covered the land with rain. The sky showed pieces of pink, but I enjoyed the moments, one after another. It was sunset, and somewhere high above there was beauty.
In my book A Slice of Fear there is a tory I wrote called “A Conversation with Death”. It is a complicated story full of twists but also full of hope in some ways. The story was based on a dream, and in the dream everything noted, and really everything in the story is real. It is true, I likely should not have been born, and it is true I have faced death over and over during my life. It has been an eventful time.
Since that dream I have had a series of similar dreams where Death and I discussed items and futures and more. It has made me remember some things, and has asked me to face others. I have done so often, and in the process have tried to appreciate every moment I am alive.
This can be hard for many. Many people are lost in regret, despair, and negativity, and as such they may find themselves not seeing the time that is slipping by. Time that can never be regained. With that in mind, pay attention. People pass, time passes, and there is no way to regain a day, and hour, a minute, or a second. Once gone they are gone. At least in our version of reality.
Anyway.
So as the sun sets on another day, be engaged and amazed. Let’s find a path that works and not have to spend time discussing it with Death. We can focus on life, and in doing so perhaps we can truly live. Be aware, be positive, and find your way, no matter what.
Sleep sweet, love life, and read my book, it will be fun!…
