Why miss another?

Rabbit holes…

The sun sets on another day…

Here came the sun and it was wooha woofy! I smiled with the clean clear shy, and we laughed together for a minute. Well, it may have been the sky. As the sun waned I just enjoyed the colors, and the world seemed right for a few moments.

I spent a lot of time thinking about people today. I talk about people a lot because they fascinate me. If you consider all the snowflakes in a blizzard and the variety of patterns that that represents, people are even more diverse.

As I thought about people I began considering how mindsets work and how social anthropology sees everything. We talk a lot about whether things are inherent or learned but when we get down to the middle of it, both seem very evident. I found myself considering just how deep a person could be if part of their life is programmed and part of their life is based on learning.

Of course there are people that believe one way or the other and won’t embrace both sides. I know that I am very similar to my father in many ways even though I had minimal contact with him until I was 16. At 16 I found myself fascinated by the similarity in our signatures even though I had never seen his signature before. Some people would say that’s because he would write and I would write, but both of our signatures are very distinct and although mine, with a different name, was different, there was still an air of flair in the actual signature.

Is our uniqueness defined by mostly us? Is our uniqueness defined by the things we have done and what we experienced? Is our uniqueness a combinant reaction to the multiple DNA sequences that created us? It’s a unique question.

This reminded me of the movie Mulan, and all of the ancestors that played part in how she reacted to everything. Perhaps we are what we decide to be and are consistently growing and learning, but it’s also possible that many of our inherent reactions and inner reactions are built on a significant amount of time and DNA that make us who we are. Maybe we have a better head start than most simply because of our past.

This would explain things like automatic fear of spiders or snakes. It may also explain how some are more adept at interaction and some are more adept on introversion. Still, I would like to think we make our own decisions and we have the free will to be who we are and who we are going to be.

I know, this is obscure strange thoughts for a hundred and I’m not sure what the answer is and that makes it even harder to tell what the question is. Maybe as we wander along in this thing called life we will figure it out and perhaps we will find that we are a blend of all of our families history and all that we are making us even more unique. At least it’s something to consider.

So as the sun sets on another day, maybe you ran away about halfway through this and I’m writing to no one now. Sorry, it was just something weird that was on my mind. I hope your day is fantastic, and I hope it gives you yet another magnificent memory that you can make part of your own and carry on, no matter what.

Sleep sweet, love life, and how about that rabbit hole…
