The sun sets on another day…
Sunset happened high above as clouds covered the horizon. We needed the rain.
Are you scared? You shouldn’t be. It’s just a post and yes, it’s my fault. There are lots of things that I take responsibility for. I probably will take responsibility for the earthquake outside of Russia, and the tsunamis, and a host of things that are specifically me. All of those are my fault. Of course that’s a little tongue in cheek but you get my point.
It’s also my fault The different things that have happened to me in my life. Of course there were other people involved, but as they were involved it was still my fault for either accepting what was going on or for letting it happen. It’s also my fault that I found happiness, when I find peace, and when I make changes to myself that make my life better. My fault.
You see, we all see fault as something negative but fault is simply accepting responsibility. So it is your fault when bad things happen to you but it’s also your fault when good things happen to you. Now I know many people will say that I should take a step back because it wasn’t someone’s fault to go through XY or z, but if you look at it carefully there are situations and how we respond to them that are our fault. It’s our fault how we respond to them. It’s our fault how we categorize them. And in the end it’s our fault on how we make life our own.
I almost want to turn comments on for this particular post, not because I want to have a discourse discussion, but because I’d love to see how people understand that they have control over the moments and that they can make a change and make the things that are bad a little more positive in their life.
So as the sun sets on another day, take responsibility for you. Make a difference in your life. If something is bad perhaps it’s time to change it. If something is good, perhaps it’s time to embrace a little more or something different. You are in control of you and this is your life and not me or anyone else can take away your power to live it. At the end of it all you will be remembered for what you did, not for what people or situations did to you. Change the narrative, and make everyday the best day it can be, no matter what.
Sleep sweet, love life, and it’s your fault…
