The sun sets on another day…
Wait a second, I thought I saw the sun, I was wrong, and the snow continued to fall. The beauty of the day was everywhere, and as I smiled, I found my self laughing at the first day of the new year.
Welcome to the first day of 2026. I would like to introduce you to this fine and friendly year. This is the year that you will be responsible for yourself. At least I’m hoping that it is. There will be no need to pay attention to the rest of the world until you resolve everything that you need to resolve.
I’m sure that you probably have nearly everything in your life resolved and everything is aligned perfectly. I’m sure that other people will tell you that the approaches that you have to life may not be the right ones or they’ll tell you that you’re perfect just the way you are. In reality only you can decide that. You are the architect of your life. You are the architect of your future.
Of course there are lots of people that want to blame everybody else or pay attention to other things and not necessarily what they want. Sometimes people focus and say, “I want what he or she is having” and as they do so we lose that ability to define for themselves what they should be considering for themselves. That turns out to be less fun because how do you know what you really want unless you define the direction you want to go. The solution is unique, become responsible for who you are and set your goals and no one else’s.
Of course this is probably a pain. Somewhere in the middle you have to do the work to decide what it is you want. Somewhere in the middle you have to decide who you are and define your day and your life. How do you do that? There are lots of people that give you books and say this is the way you should do it and I will say wholeheartedly that most of them work. The majority of people can follow templates set by inspirational giants and suddenly I see improvement in their lives. I just happen to believe that we should determine our own fate, our own future, and our own approach to what works for us and not necessarily for everybody else. Whose life are you living anyway? I hope it’s yours.
So as the sun sets on another day, I’m really enjoying the day. Well now I’m really enjoying the night, but today was a good day where I started laying foundations and I hope I can help others find theirs if they’re interested. If they’re not, that’s OK too because it’s your life, make it a fantastic life, no matter what.
