The sun sets on another day…
It was a beautiful sunset to end a beautiful day. I got to watch a movie today and enjoy the excitement of a writer’s mind and an actor’s art. As I walked out the sky was a fire and the world was at peace as oranges Reds and shades of yellow flew across the horizon.
I was thinking a bit today about the phrase faint of heart and how so many people equate that with something difficult. Like going to this haunted house is not for the faint of heart. Going on this roller coaster is not for the faint of heart. Being in a relationship is not for the faint of heart
What I found is that life is not for the faint of heart. In a moment you can go from the most magnificent day that you’ve ever had to a difficult series of impossible issues that have to be solved quickly and efficiently. I know it is not for the faint of heart because people have difficulty with it all the time.
Life is not for the faint of heart. I do think that you are. You’ve taken the time to read something that might be uplifting or it might not. You’ve taken the time to read and not just skim and not just look for a small spattering of dopamine to continue your day. Perhaps you read a book, perhaps a novel, perhaps a little bit more. In the end doing all of that is not for the faint of heart.
I’ve spent a lot of time in my life overcoming fear and in doing so I’ve tried to help others see fear as a helper more than a hindrance, but fear is not for the faint of heart. Fear helps harden our heart and strengthen it against those things that would slow it down. In the end I’m back to my original statement, life is not for the faint of heart. Experience life, make a difference, live hard, push yourself to the limits and then push a little harder. In the end the faint of heart will not win, but your heart will. Keep winning.
So as the sun sets on another day, being inside my mind is not for the faint of heart. I hope you enjoy your evening. I hope you take the time to love the poetry that so many others cannot find meaning in. I hope you take a moment and see the world in The amazing way that it exists and even though it’s not for the faint of heart, I hope that you help the world see that it’s worth it. You are special, you are enough, no matter what.
