The sun sets on another day…
I stared at the twilight sky and wondered whatw as to come. I saw the colors shift and build, and a sunset was born, along the way I knew I could not affect it, but it was beautiful anyway.
I’ve written several times about how sticks and stones can break your bones but silence breaks the heart. Yes I know I cut that poem in half. What I haven’t said is how much silence can hurt and how people can interpret silence.
I have found that if you are silent, people inject their minds into your thought process. Each strike of a clock creates a new series of positives or negatives that may have nothing to do with you. Each tquestion becomes an answer that you may not be aware of. Silence, it may speak louder than a thundering trumpet.
You know what, you may just want to wait before filling in the blanks. Sometimes, it may be better to step aside and pay attention while waiting for reality rather than creating your own. Otherwise, the world may be full of strange bumps in the night that may not be what we think they are. Right?
What do you think? Does silence make it harder? Do you fill in the blanks of silence or wait on reality?
So as the sun sets on another day, I hope the world communicates well with you, but if they don’t, I hope you can wait for truth rather than deciding in your mind how someone else thinks. I know if you look in my mind (creeeeek) it would terrify you, so just wait for me to communicate. I will wait for you, and I hope everyone does the same, no matter what.
Sleep sweet, love life, and it is the sound…
