The sun sets on another day…
Sunset was lost but as I looked through my pictures I was lost in the recent memories of the Puerto Rican rain forest.
It may be hard to tell here but the main paths of water are always in motion. As the water falls the thicker areas slide across the rocks, and do not take a defined path, they go where they need to go, and as they do so it changes often.
As I remembered and looked at this picture I thought about how life is the same. Some people wander along the same path, some do not, some are outside, some are with a few, and some off alone. In the end, there is nothing set about the patterns, just random motion, and seemingly random decisions. Perhaps the small trickles are the fastest path, perhaps the group is, but they all progress forward towards and eventual goal.
Are you a leader? Are you someone who directs others to a path? Are you a follower? Are you that person who goes with the flow and moves where others do, not considering anywhere new, just someplace safe.
A lot of people don’t see the possibilities of being that lone strand going another way. Perhaps it is again, “the road less traveled”, but to me, it makes all the difference.
So as the sun sets on another day, maybe I should shut up and enjoy the waterfall. Sometimes we are part of the group, others we are part of less, but always work towards a good place, find your way and make you life the best it can be, no matter what.
