The sun sets on another day…
No, I am not playing golf. I am not very good except on the drive. Still I try and enjoy playing scrambles with people who play much better than me. It is just a fun time with people and most of the game is talking to others.
Have you ever considered how much people just need to talk? Have you ever considered that given a moment people really want to connect, to communicate, to let someone know what they are going through? If you haven’t I suggest you stop for a moment and listen. Listen to what someone is saying to you, to how they are saying it, to the way they are standing, the furl of their brow. Mostly listen and hear what they have to say.
When you do you may see that people are out there always trying and to reach out, and some will help you see the world differently. Some will see the world differently because of you. It may not seem amazing, but it is!
Inside we are social creatures and we do need each other. It is my opinion you will know when it is time for you to talk, and time to listen if you pay attention, and there will be those that are there for you, once again to listen.
So as the sun sets on another day, yelling “four” signals the world that a ball is coming down the golf range, sometimes people don’t let you know what is coming, but be there, and be prepared if you can. After all, people are worth it and so are you. Be the one that listens if you can, but if you can’t, find someone who will truly listen to you, no matter what.
Sleep sweet, love life, and hello…
