The sun sets on another day..
Sunset was a wonderful series of colors painting the Western sky with a mosaic that could only be called wow. As I watched the sunset I smiled because all in all it was an amazing day.
I know, I know, there is already a book named “Change and Chaos”. I read it and it was a lot of fun.
I wrote a little recently about the chaotic state that some people would perceive of my desk. As I did so I realized that chaos is pretty much at the center of everything. I have laughed and cried in chaos and enjoy the challenge of something completely unstructured.
At the center of anything chaotic is the consistent change and the movement from one situation to another. It is not enough for there just to be perceived movement, the movement has to create a series of positive and negative events as change begins. A great many people see change as a negative but I have found that change opens the doors to forever and creates possibilities that some may not see. Many people have written about embracing change and avoiding change but those people often don’t see the spectacular possibilities of a changing environment.
I wrote a paper years ago about how computer administrators should embrace change. The idea of “It ain’t broke so don’t fix it” is relatively horrible if you pay attention closely to it. Instead we should be in a constant state of motion and always looking for positive possibilities as we consider moving to a new situation. Change is not bad, changes not good, change is necessary to grow.
Here I sit going through change again. It’s all good, change may help us learn and be better. I just wanted to say as we progress that change is inevitable and we offer the ability to make change amazing.
So as the sun sets on another day, consider well the changes that are upcoming. Embrace those changes and realize that every day is filled with possibilities and that your change may make those possibilities better. You are important, so change the world and make it yours, no matter what.
Sleep sweet, love life, and change change change…
