The sun sets on another day…
As winter closes in on us it is difficult to see the warmth here just a short time ago. Somewhere in our hearts it remains, held b y us as a flame waiting to once again become a fire.
As people we have an amazing capacity for passion. The warmth in our hearts and souls can light the world, create a new app, build a new city, win a contest, feed the hungry or just excite another person beyond the realm of belief. Passion is a funny thing, it has no substance, but you can feel it all around you; it has no power but it can electrify; it has no emotion, but can evoke the most intense emotions we will ever know.
It is funny. We see Star Wars playing a lot now and one of the main characters in the Star Wars series is the force. Perhaps the force is a subset of passion, surrounding us and binding us, it can control us but listens to our will, it can be used for good, and there is a dark side. Hmm, interesting thought at least. In the end passion is what drives me every day to write, to live, and to try to make a difference. Perhaps it will be a small difference, but perhaps the force will be with me, no matter what.
So as the sun sets on another day, no matter how cold it is, passion can make yo feel warm. Embrace it and know the future will be better because of you.
