The sun sets on another day…
Sunset? Well, it was cold, and went to colder as the light passed away in front of us. I would say it was cold out, but that did not really describe the crispness in the air.
Do you ever think about inspiration? Whether it is for work or for something outside of work do you ever wonder where those magnificent ideas that you have come from?
A few days ago I found myself lost in a post about imagination. I think about imagination a lot because it is a source for just about everything even if people don’t realize it. Our ability to get from A to Z without going through all the letters is a product of our imagination and that fantastic series of events that allows us to see a lot of things in between without actually doing them. People don’t get from candle to light bulb without a lot of extra steps in between and true imagination inspires us to the nth degree.
Tonight I was thinking about poetry as recently I spent some time doing structured poetry again. The idea of iambic pentameter and measured prose put me in a spot where I was between imagination and work but in the end I knew that the key was Finding my ability to see past what was on the surface. It made me laugh. There is a lot to consider, but at the core is imagination, and I think I have a bit of that.
Time to share:
Life?
I see, in mind, in heart, in soul, I know
that where I go will be a place of peace.
I see, in mind, in heart, in soul, I wish
that were I find my peace will be as I
The day is you, the day is old, so I
find my good time in fire, and fight, and more.
and when I pass the gold far light I know
I will see fire and life and keep my heart.
As I know life, and death, and all the mids
and hold each dear as none can be sans me
the dark comes fast and I find past all else
that we are all not dust but light and more
and when we know the time has come we sigh
and grasp the straws of what we know is real
So as the sun sets on another day, I hope you find the way to your way, and I hope that way is full of imagination, no matter what.
Sleep sweet, love life, and keep believing…
