The sun sets on another day…
Sunset. It was possible, probable, and more. Still, the foggy mist sprayed the horizon with 100 shades of gray, it actually was pretty cool. Somewhere above there were colors, but here we had an empty coloring book and no crayons.
I started another passage and had a significant amount of strange verbiage trying to explain right and wrong. I didn’t get very far until I realized it was a subjective nightmare so I went back to where I started. The statement of the day is that the right side is up. And to me this makes sense because the right side is the side without the jam on it. Far too often we get tied up in the idea of trying to determine what’s right and what’s wrong. Maybe it’s just looking at which way you don’t have to clean up the huge mess.
Ever drop your toast on the floor? Which way do you want it to fall. If it falls on the dry side, the three second rule lows you to jump in and still have some wonderful toast in the morning. If you have butter and strawberry jam on it, you probably aren’t going to eat it if it falls on that side. Maybe that’s the secret.
If you are trying to do what’s right maybe it’s easy to consider what’s right for you first. If you go past that you may not understand what’s going on and you might flip your toast right on to the floor jam side down and have to start cleaning. That’s all I’m going to say today, simply because sometimes when you are so sure that you should be doing something, you don’t realize that you’re one step away from getting hair in your toast.
So as the sun sets on another day, think about you. Define the best you every day. And in the process pay some attention to the direction that you’re going. Do the right thing by you and by others, and as you do remember that life is worth living every day. Make your day amazing and keep the jam up, no matter what.
Sleep sweet, love life, and strawberry yum…
