The sun sets on another day…
Ever consider a moment in time? Like let’s say the moment of the perfect picture of the perfect sunset that can be perfect each and every day. Ever stop to consider how any of those moments there are in life? How precious those moments are, and (this is important) how much control we have of the moment? We have far more control than we think. Then again, we may have far less control than we think. There are those in the world that believe it is preordained and part of a divine plan, but the divine plan includes free will, so how can there be a divine plan? There are those that think that everything in life is chance, but so much seems to happen for a reason, how can that be?
I do not pretend to have all the answers, but I have a few. I do not pretend to know all the questions, but I keep coming up with them. I know without a doubt, that we are the sum of a mass of moments that made us who we are, and those moments continue to make us each day. More, we define our moments AND they define us until we are that sum of moments that we have become.
This is not a destination, this is a journey and we will set goals along the way and hope we can shape the moments and the moments shape us until we become who we want to be. (Or at least I hope so)
This week I have met one such goal. My first novel with final proofs on the way. Sometimes next week I will open a box with 5 brand new books to review and perhaps start a journey that began with an idea, an idea spawned from a moment, a moment that defined me, and a moment I took control of, and defined.
So as the sun sets on another day, seize the moment (That would be carpe momentum, though i prefer carpe carpum, sieze the fish) live your moments to their fullest, and try to make life something more for you, and for those who are with you. Hold on to passion, and make your life something more.
Sleep sweet, enjoy the moments, and live a full life, no matter what….
