The sun sets on another day…
…in theory at least.
Theory is a good word. For the most part it means “the analysis of a set of facts in their relation to one another”. So a theory is not necessarily true, but it is something that we can set forth to prove. In theory the sun will rise each and every day and set each and every day until the day someone forgets to pay the light bill and we are plunged into darkness. In theory this will be the best day of our lives, and so will tomorrow, and the next day, until the water heater breaks and you end up part of a Farmers Insurance commercial. In theory you will find the man or woman of your dreams and live happily ever after, until you find out they have met the man or woman of their dreams and it isn’t you or find the man or woman who was not of your dreams, and they make you the happiest person in the world. In reality who knows? In theory we will get the things we have planned for, each and every day. In reality, who knows? Really, the bulk of reality is a theory until it becomes fact.
So, who cares, right? Well, as I said a lot of things are truly just a theory (Notice I did not say all as that too would be a theory), and we can’t simply state with certainty very much at all until it becomes fact. When speaking from any point of view if you disagree, you should challenge, but if you open your mouth to challenge, listen and try to understand because your point of view may be a theory too, right? (It usually is as well, usually when dealing with emotions it ends up to be an un-provable theory)
So as the sun sets on another day, let’s theorize we can all be happy and take a slightly easier road. Maybe, just maybe, if we are patient, listen and enjoy the moments we can take our theory and turn our happiness into a fact. It would be nice, right?
Sleep sweet, love life, and enjoy each and every day, you deserve it. (Which is not a theory)
