The sun sets on another day…
I was browsing through pictures today and decided it would be better to share an awesome sunset a friend took today.
As I was driving home today a rabbit crossed the road, and as I passed it it paused and looked back, but then kept moving to the brush. It was as if the rabbit was saying “wow that was close” and considering the past, but moving forward to whatever warren it may be a part of today.
I liked the thought of the rabbit moving forward and realized there was once again a life lesson here. What?
– The rabbit took a chance and crossed the road. (Maybe just to get to the other side, but it made the effort)
– The rabbit paused to reflect on its success. (If only for a moment)
– The rabbit moved forward, and went on. (Like we all should.
I would like to think we all do similar, but too often we simply do not cross the road. We have a lesson from the rabbit, we cannot overcome obstacles unless we try, then we can “cross the road” and resolve the issue. We also need to evaluate what we did when we cross, and too often that simply does not happen. We move on and don’t pay enough attention to our successes, or our failures. Finally we should move on to the next challenge, not gloat in our success, or stick around waiting for someone who needs a nice rabbit stew, but move on to our next challenge, and do the same.
I know, I know, it is a simple thought, but I think everyone should consider how fortunate they are for having the ability to live, then enjoy that life by challenging themselves with one “road” after another.
So as the sun sets on another day, let’s cross the road, and get to the other side. Safe and sound because we can do it! Let’s look back and celebrate, but not for long as we move on, and find our way, no matter what.
Sleep sweet, cross the road, and keep finding new roads always!
