The sun sets on another day…
As the clouds devoured the sun I stared for a moment at the grandfather clock in the corner of my dining room. I watcher the pendulum swing back and forth then went to the clock, opened the door, and wound it, raising the weights to the top once again. For those that don’t know a grandfather clock is usually run by weight causing a pendulum to swing back and forth, and without a “wind” raising the weights back up, it will eventually stop.
In life we too need to recharge from time to time. As our hands turn round and round we often find ourselves feeling more and more weighted, and needing a moment, just a moment, to pull back together. We go on and on sometimes, and as the weight pulls on us further and further we get close to a point where our pendulum may just stop. Take time for yourself, find a moment to be more positive, to rest, to have some fun, and to believe in yourself. Basically, watch a good sunset, and wind your clock so the weights will be once again lifted, and you will be ready for another day, no matter what.
So as the sun sets on another day, consider how life weighs on you, and in the process, be mindful of when you need to recharge, then do it. You are worth it, each and every day,
Sleep sweet, rest well, and be ready for tomorrow, a new and exciting day…
