The unknown number…

The sun sets on another day…

If you go back to one of my very short, (How long will we live?), very prophetic posts I quote “The Day the Earth Stood Still” I quoted Klaatu in asking “How long will I live…” and he answers imply, “…that no one can tell”.

It is funny as I developed 29000 sunsets and reset it in July of 2015 I was asking and trying to answer some of those questions. I have spent almost 2 years now writing every day about somethings and nothings, trying to explain an unknown number that is a riddle even the sphinx would jump off a cliff trying to answer. Sure, some calculators will tell you how long you will live based on life factors, health and a series of numbers that are averaged among a great deal of people, but they cannot tell for sure. My Grandmother was overweight and lived to 96, I know people who have smoked like steam shovels and lived as long. In the end, we can only do the best we can and hope every day is the best day ever.

Why do I bring this up? Well, how may more sunsets does anyone have, and how many things do they want to do that they put off thinking there is more time, or another day. In the end, all we can count on is the day, the hour, even the moment but little longer. Sure, we can be pretty sure, hope, pray, and try to make tomorrow a promise, but in reality, tomorrow is a wisp of smoke, and yesterday a memory we will never live again. As I considered today and watched a beautiful sunset, I looked at my life as well, and considered the moments and how to make them better, after all, I am not immune, I have few sunsets before me than behind now.

So as the sun sets on another day, make your dreams more than dreams, make your realities the best they can be. Let go of the things that hurt you, and grab the things that will take you to a happy tomorrow, and a better life, no matter what.

Sleep sweet, love life, and master your life and more…
