The sun sets on another day…
Well, the sun is setting on the super rainy wet cold foreboding day from a distance. Yes, there is a sunset there, and we darn well will honor that sunset because it is awesome!
Sometimes you have to honor what you cannot see because you know it is there. Friendship is one of those things. Friends are like concentric circles. The closer to the center, the closer the friend. I have been super lucky in life to have some amazing close friends, and super unlucky to trust a few that were not. The trick is to understand where your circles are, and understand who should go in each circle.
There are lots of joke, but the best ones involve the friends that are there for you when you are in the thick of it, and knowing they will be there for you, no matter what.
On that note, “No matter what” should never be said lightly. When you make a friend that is no matter what, you should be there, no matter what. It is one of those things that just is, and you should be a part of it.
So as the sun sets on another day, consider your closest friends and be sure you are there for them, be sure you support them as they support you, and make them part of your everyday commitment to life, no matter what.
