The sun sets on another day…
The wind blew today, snow and ice everywhere and the blowing snow could rend you easily as it whipped across the land.
I am thankful though. I am thankful on this Christmas for Christmas. Are you? Do you feel the meaning of Christmas take over and give you thanks, or just feel thanks for the relief from the constant maelstrom of chaos it has been.
I am thankful on this day for my son, who has shown that true character rises above, and has shown people a path that should be carefully followed. Are you thankful for children? For the insight and honesty they can give us?
I am thankful for my daughters, who find a way even when their isn’t a way. Are you thankful for those that find their way? If not, can you help show them a way?
I am thankful for all the people I know, and all the people who read 29000 sunsets, have read my book, or the stories I have written. I am event thankful for the haters and naysayers, and those that have been less than nice. After all, the world has both positives and negatives. You cannot just judge yourself by the positives, But have to see the negatives as well.
If you are reading, this means I am thankful for you, take a moment and consider all the things you are thankful for, and find a way to be happy for a moment. Maybe hold on to it a little while longer, but on this day that is built on thanks, find a reason to be thankful, and make it yours.
So as the sun sets on another day, this post may seem a bit noodley, but I think one day a year we need to be thankful for all we have, maybe two days a year, maybe 365. Why don’t we find a way to have the best life every by being thankful, and for those things we are not thankful for, well, let’s try to be thankful for them as well. After all, we are breathing, right? Maybe we need to get bake to those basics and just breath, and be thankful we can, no matter what.
