The sun sets on another day…
I like math. Math was lots of fun and believe it or not, I loved Calculus in college. Proving something was or was not was a challenge, and math was always pure and could be proven at any point. (I am getting to the point). So I was thinking today about a book on mathematics I read years ago and thought about a formula.
We all want to be happy, and that should be our end goal, but the equation of how to get there can be a little rough, so here goes:
x= our past and the amount of positives in our past
y= our dreams and the vision we have in our dreams
z= those dreams that became our reality
a= our reality and what we have made of our self
b= our friends and those people that support us
c = our enemies and those people that do not support us
Given this my equation will be:
ab-c2 +x2-y2+z2+1
Well, it is work in progress, but in my opinion our reality and our friends show who we are and it is not the amount of friends, it is the strength of those friendships. This shows one of our foundations. Our enemies show the negatives and challenges we need to overcome. Our past gives us a big foundation to build upon while our dreams, the ones we have not acted on, show us what holds us back. Finally the dreams we have fulfilled make us even better.
Yeah yeah, it is a work in progress, but as I looked at this I thought, wow, I should be happy but sad, and that made a difference. (I won’t tell you why!)
So as the sun sets on another day, well, build an equation that works for you, but think about how you have a great deal to be thankful for in life. We all do because, well, after all, we are alive! Take a moment, count your good fortune and start setting your sails on achieving great things. In the end, remember no equation can decide if you are happy, only you can, so make today a good day and tomorrow even better.
Sleep sweet, love life, and enjoy it every day…
