Seeping sand…

The sun sets on another day…

If you did not catch up earlier this week, I have been fighting water all week. This is due to high rain in the area, but good sunsets some days. Last night I was up most of the night and expect maybe I can sleep tonight for once.

One of the fun things I will point out is my water problems do not necessarily come from the rain directly. Sure, it is the default contributor and rain every day in buckets can be a little disheartening, but the bulk of the water comes after in the seeping sand. So what is the seeping sand? Well, sand holds a lot of water, and long after the rain is done it just keeps flowing through until it gets where it wants to go. The seeping sand is insidious because it does not seem to be an issue, until it suddenly is, and it has been working against you the whole time.

Years ago I had what I thought was a good friend. The storms around us were heavy, and there never seems to be any issues, because we always came out on top. Imagine my surprise when over 10 years later I found they had been subverting what we built together. The seeping sand had gotten me. I thought the storms were over, but underneath there was other deceit.

You know, there will always be people that can only list themselves by bring others down, and days that seem dreary and without end, but we can findĀ  w way to overcome them if we just work to make each day the best it can be, put one foot in front of the other, and take a higher path. Stooping to a similar level even if you are aware of massive silliness, is a last resort. (I use silliness as a broad stroke of a lot of stuff that happens)

So as the sun sets on another day, if you have seeping sand, get a shovel and take the high road. Identify the good and bad in life and show others by example that you need not be a negative person to lead a positive life. Find a way, each an every day, to make your life better, no matter what.

Sleep sweet, love life, and build a sandcastle…
