Eternal Crossroads…

The sun sets on another day…

I am writing this a little early, well, because I can. I have had an incredible amount of time today to think, and I will be driving a lot over the next few days which will allow even more. This morning as I stepped out and took a picture I considered the crossroads in my life, and looked at the choices we all have to make daily.

I will start with “Each day is a choice, make it a good one”. No, I don’t think anyone else has said exactly that, but I will build upon it, each day is a choice because we decide how we will be in that day. We could make it minute by minute series of choices because really each minute is a choice as well. As you get up, how you act, how you react, the choices you make are astounding. If we tracked it I am sure the number would be off the hook. An article in Psychology Today says over 35000 decisions a day or about one every 2 seconds of awake time, but I was thinking it could be more. Who knows. I think going down that path could get pretty scary.

I am really thinking about the number of real decisions we make each day, to get up, to talk to someone, to work, to play, and how to act in our daily lives. It is funny, we are as people perceive us so each decision we make creates a new us. Each decision we make affects the next decision, each day becomes a picture of who we are going to be tomorrow.

I know I know, if you think about it, this could be maddening, but if we go even higher, one decision a day may be super critical in shaping us, maybe a few more. What is your decision today that made your day? Were there many or just one? How will those decisions affect you today? Was it a good choice?

I think the last part fluctuates a lot. A decision made today could seem like a good choice, but then be hell later. It could seem like a bad choice, but then open a world of positives later. Ick, this could be a novel so I will stop here.

So as the sun sets on another day, if your head hurts, my fault. If it does not, think for a second on the decisions of today, there are a lot of them. Why not make a choice for today to be a good choice, no matter what.

Sleep sweet, be a hero, and love to the moon and back…
