The power of Joy…

Four more days to Christmas.

The sun sets on another day…

Somethings we cannot see are real for all of us. They makes us whole, make us more, make the world a better place. If we get specific on one we can sing of it, laugh of it, feel it, receive it, and give it. It is a powerful force. It is an old feeling, that we always seek. What is it? Joy.

I know I know, we wrote odes to it, named people after it, and for the most part have tried to build a world around it but how do we truly know joy? Is joy something we can force or is it something deep in our hearts that is awakened by people, places and things. Is Joy that thing that makes us better or do we make Joy better by being a part of the joy in our heart, our soul, or lives. It is all difficult if you think about it, the level of joy in our life comes and goes, but perhaps we need to look a little further.

“Joy” is defined as a feeling of great pleasure or happiness. Not just happiness, and not just pleasure, but GREAT pleasure and happiness. Do you feel it? Do you know it? Do you understand the depth of joy in your life?

I have found for me, that joy is doing something great, and making it even greater. Joy is taking life to the next level. Joy is taking a good photo, finishing a book, or just flying around. Joy can be hitting a bulls-eye one more time, the feeling of a good friend, and the feeling of knowing someone is there no matter what. Sure, there are people who will try to take our joy away. Those people who don’t see joy as important, those that are cold, or mean, or worse. There are things that take joy away, the storm, or other act that is beyond our control, but joy is GREAT.

So as the sun sets on another day, we can still hold on to Joy if we just want to. In the storm we can see the beauty, in the rain we can see the life, in a bad memory we can see a good beginning. With just about anything, we can see more, and be more. Find joy in anything you can, and you will have more than great happiness, you will have a great life.

Sleep sweet, love life, and enjoy the ride…
