The sun sets on another day…
Summer in Michigan is somewhere between amazing and holy wowsers. Where winter is dark, cold, and seems to never end, summer is full of life and sunsets that defy expectations while stunning the senses with their sheer beauty.
I find that often schedules change constantly independent of my planning. It is said “The best-laid plans of mice and men often go awry” and I love that word “awry” but am not as fond of the implication. It implies that everything in life is fluid. Well, it surely seems to be and the world is full of massive moment that should have been that aren’t and shouldn’t be that are, right?
Occasionally we need to just stop and say “Just a second here” and in the process slow down and make things right. We have the ability to choose our schedules (Well, to an extent) but we don’t take that power sometimes. Time to make ti happen, right?
Just remember somewhere in the midst of all the responsibilities, all the “stuff”, to make time for you as well. After all, this life you are in is well, yours. It would be nice if you got to enjoy some of it, right? Take a deep breath, say the words, take little control, maybe a lot of control, and enjoy the day and the night.
So as the sun sets on another day, never get to busy to lose yourself. Try not to commit so much that you are a slave to everyone else and lose what make you unique, and take a second, find a path and make it yours, no matter what.
