Racing the sky…

The sun sets on another day…

So I was driving today and watched a storm as I danced around it and missed it for quite a while. I watched the front roll in and pass beside me, and watched lighting in the distance pummel the ground and electrify the daytime sky. I was amazed at how a bright day can be made even brighter by a flash of lightening, and I enjoyed the lightshow, well, until I was in it. Then I still enjoyed it, but was dodging the rain more at that point. In the end, it made my day more colorful and was a good memory instead of a boring drive.

There are always things going on around us. Always things that want to derail our fantastic days and there are two very good ways of handling them. We can run through them and face whatever comes along, or we can race with them and keep them at bay.

Now racing them is a little like avoidance, so I am not a huge fan, but it does work and can be fun as you pay attention and see things coming and going. I would like to think you could have a lot of fun if you race the storms a lot, and maybe open a new series of adventures pretty just by skirting the storm.

Running through can be fun as well. Today as I plowed through the storm I was buffeted across the road and it was harrowing for a short time, but as I pulled through there were two great things, a huge rainbow, and a place to get another iced tea. You know you have to have objectives, mine was a cold tea.

So as the sun sets on another day, in the end the choice is yours. I wish you the best day ever and an even better sunset and twilight. Be thankful for your decisions, and make good ones that you enjoy. The world is your oyster, now find a pearl and enjoy the moments, no matter what.

Sleep sweet, love life, and enjoy the night…
