November and the number 23…

The sun sets on another day…

As I passed the 50,000 word goal in November I realized I was doing so on the 23rd. I laughed for a while after I did it just because of the movie “The Number 23” and the premise that everything was based on 23. I know, silly to laugh, but I had fun.

Silent Sister is a little more edgy in some ways, and less offensive in others. I am still not complete but I have really good momentum right now.

The story revolves around Alan, one of my characters, saving two girls from a father who is less than a nice person. Carlos, the father, is more than he seems to the children and is furious when they escape. Alan does a great job with the two dogs he had back then, and is successful. Fast forward 10 years and a now 15 daughter falls under the fathers untruths and ends uncompromising herself, her family, and the marshal’s who are protecting her family now in witness protection. Alan takes responsibility and goes back to save the daughter against a more prepared father. What comes next is controlled and uncontrolled chaos, and Michael becoming aware, then involved to save a friend.

I know, just a teaser, but this has been an emotional roller coaster book so far, and there is more to come. Look for it faster than my last book, much faster.

So as the sun sets on another day, the number 23 is all over, but 50k is more fun. Smile with me, laugh with me and I hope you enjoy the book when its finished, no matter what.

Sleep sweet, love life, and wowsers…
