Who’s the hero…

The sun sets on another day…

Sunset was surprising today, and perhaps it is every day. I was not prepared and then as I thought it would be amazing, where I was it was not. Still, I enjoy every sunset, and I loved what I could see.

I was thinking a lot today and I thought a great deal about the song “Hero”. I have done so before, but if you listen to the song there is a lot to it. IT does, however, lend itself to being a hero for someone else. What about you? Have you ever thought of being your own here? Now that song has a lot of special meanings for me. I used it in a story and the song had a special place in my heart, I suppose it still does. Still I can be my own here, thank you.

Think about ti. If you are waiting for the hero to save you then you might as well be in the movie “Feast” where people look for a hero and die, and the hero does as well(Black Comedy, way over the top). Maybe if we make things happen on our own, believe in ourselves, and not wait around for the world to happen we can be a hero to ourselves. That’s not to say we don’t need to save others when we can, or accept others help, but instead of just being there, why not be a hero. Why not take it to the next level? Why not be more?

For a long time in my life I expected others to meet me in the middle. I thought if I put in 110% that it meant I would get that back. It has happened only a few times. I can be assured if I give 110% to myself I will get 110% back every time. I can and will be my hero.

Take the time, believe in yourself, and be your hero every day.

So as the sun sets on another day, a hero is simply someone who has the courage to stand up and do more for others. A person to be respected and someone to have as a role model. You can be and hopefully are your biggest hero each and every day. If not, its time to start, and time to make your hero the best hero ever, no matter what.

Sleep sweet, love with all your heart, and maybe a little more…
