The sun sets on another day…
Sunset was, well, awesome!I couldn’t see it, but I knew it was awesome because I knew it was there! Sometimes that way of thinking is the best way to stay positive.
I like the word pliable. It can mean that something is easy to be bent, or that something is easy to be influenced. Pliable.
I am finding that the word has significant meaning if you want to make things work in the world. Rigid breaks, cracks and cannot be easily repaired, but pliable offers the ability to bend and perhaps reshape in the best possible way.
When we walk through life with a view that is anything less than pliable it is my opinion we do ourselves a disservice. Why? Because the world changes. I was having a fun discussion with someone I work with about the speed of light, and as I stated the limit was 186282 mps he replied “that’s the theory”. I was fascinated and we had a short discussion on all the possibilities that would allow faster than light travel, something that most would not even consider. If I was not pliable, and he was not pliable, the discussion would have been short, but we both had different avenues to discuss and both agreed, with imagination most everything is pliable.
So as the sun sets on another day, don’t take a rigid view of life. Be pliable in your thoughts and opinions. There is more to this world than you. Understand pliable does not mean weak, it means being able to see beyond an opinion and find new pathways to the goals we have. Let your mind roam free and consider all the options and in the process be open every day, no matter what.
