The sun sets on another day…
I think the word spectacular may have fit tonight’s sunset. It was cloudy, and there were no meatballs, but the sun hung down and slowly set in the western sky, and lit up the world like a red Christmas tree.
I remember in grade school playing the game who stole the cookie from the cookie jar. It is a cute game that teaches you other peoples names. You would have to choose someone else after you were accused and a nice jingle went with it. No one wanted to be caught not knowing someones name so it made people learn in a rapid manner. It also had a lot to do with trust and blame.
Do you remember people? Are you remembered? These are important questions we consider each day. Do we know this person? Who are they? How do I know them? Normally we have answers back right away, but sometimes we have to think for a moment. Sometimes we don’t know. It is there, it just needs a little reminding. Why do you remember people?
When we meet people we greet, laugh, and interact, and we have to wonder, why do people remember us? Why do you think people remember you?
I have said often I have no social conscience. Those who know me probably agree. I enjoy talking to people and am not afraid of talking to anyone. I am told people remember me for that, both good and bad. Sometimes though I sit and listen and learn, not affected by anything, and enjoying the situation the best that I can.
In the end, part of our lives is our relationships. I strongly suggest you try to remember people, or try to create situations where they remember you.
So as the sun sets on another day, no I did not steal the cookie from the cookie jar. Instead I laughed and tried to remember everyone, and had fun along the way. Enjoy the people you meet, and hopefully they will enjoy you. Make each day memorable, no matter what.
Sleep sweet, love, and love a little more…
