The sun sets on another day…
Today everyone left. I had daughter and son and sister and family galore, but now they are gone, swept away home and enjoying life again. They leave a house that was full a few hours ago now empty, and happy.
It is amazing how full family and friends can make you feel, and even though a house is empty now, it is a home that was full.
Do you take the time to see the positives of a visit even if the end is bitter sweet? Do you remember the good in your time or the bad? Is your last hug with a family member less than positive, or do you remember all the times you have with them before? A relationship is full of life and love, do you remember the relationship or a last hollow kiss.
Isn’t this part of what life is about? Living it? When family comes don’t you do everything and talk about more, share and listen? When you meet people don’t you see all they have to offer?
It is worth considering. After all, every day is a chance to live, love, laugh, and learn.
So as the sun sets on another day I am cleaning an empty house that was full, and laughing at the fullness of this house that will never be empty empty. Hold on to the positives in life, and live for them day by day setting aside all the negatives you can and making your day complete, no matter what.
Sleep sweet, love life, and enjoy…
