The sun sets on another day…
I think I am spending too much time with a shovel. As sun set tonight the shovel and I dug, and dug and dug, and I smiled and felt my muscles strain.
I am sure you know that sometimes it is a good idea to work on items. There is always so much to be done, and always so much we can do if we want to. The problem is sometimes that we work on so many things so much of the time that we forget how to unwind, how to play, how to do a little less. I have found that all too often the world presses us to work, but we don’t find our moments to live.
Let’s bury that right now. Occasionally lets just stop, and smell the roses, enjoy the moments, and live for a few minutes without having a goal. Somehow I don’t think that 100 years from now anyone will care if I dug a hole or read a book. Maybe we need to remember that and spend a little more time with our passions.
So as the sun sets on another day, enjoy today. Set down the work that is beating you up, it will go faster when you are relaxed. Make this day yours, and have a little fun, no matter what.
Sleep sweet, love life, and sing a little too…
