The sun sets on another day…
Sunset was. It is a valid statement that there was a sunset and it was intense and exciting.
I was not thinking of the sunset as much. Instead for a moment I was lost in my own little world of passion and pain considering the days and the things I could do and could not do. Still, as sunset fell while I drove to far off places to face an indescribable disaster I found solace in the moments of colorful creation going on above me.
Sometimes when faced with the indescribable we have to take a moment and find our center. Sometimes we have to take a moment and see the world from a new perspective. Not ours but the view of those who have passed before us, realizing that we are alive, we have the ability to change the world and ourselves if we only try. We have the ability to make a difference and push the world in a positive manner and set aside those things that are negative. We have the ability to overcome anything. Those that have passed before may have laid foundations, but in doing so their need and even their expectation is for us to learn from them, and in doing so find the pathway to more.
I don’t pretend to have all the answers. Every day is a new and exciting adventure, but today I am grateful to my niece, who has showed me another path to explore.
So as the sun sets on another day, take a moment and appreciate all you have. Now, step back and thrown away all the ideas you have about cars, money, homes, and anything physical. Now take a moment again and appreciate all you have. If the list is long I am happy for you and all that you list. If it is not, maybe its time to reevaluate, and consider the pathway forward. Maybe, just maybe you can find a way to touch others and in doing so see the world a little more clearly. Find your center, make it real, and be happy, no matter what.
