The sun sets on another day…
Sunset was just nice. I knew it was nice as I smiled and laughed with a super dinner. There was a lot of peace involved.
I have found over the years there are numerous items that lift me higher. These relate to nouns, being people, places, and things.
There are times that a simple moment can inspire and take me high, and time when an hour, a day, or more can make a difference. There are times when a spring day makes me smile, and when a fall day embraces me like a lost friend. I have known many people who keep me calm, and a few who find ways to lift me up, and make me feel whole again. Some people would see a small camera as a trinket, but the story behind it makes me smile, and it too along with many other items life me higher.
Tonight I was lifted by a few minutes of peace that others may see as negative. My grandson was crying and as I took him as he fumed in 3 week old frustration. We walked, and I sang Christmas carols to him.. As I did he quieted and looked at me and was soon fast asleep. In that moment I was lifted beyond the universe.
What lifts you? Who is it? Where makes your day better? Why aren’t you with them more, there more, or having something near you. It is an easy question and it is on that means a lot. Find those things that lift you. Oh, and if you have things that bring you down, well, consider changing those out.
So as the sun sets on another day, life is meant to be lived, but it is also meant to be far more. Find a way to live more than a life, but instead a wonderful amazing life. Along the way, enjoy every moment you can, no matter what.
