The sun sets on another day…
Today was a series of incredible moments. As the sun set I considered a multitude of musings. It was a good day.
I visited Flint Michigan today at a small event for the Kearsley Band Boosters. They have no updated Facebook Group I can find, no easy website, but they were driven to success. I had great company with Diana Katheryn Plopa but the traffic was low. Ordinarily that would mean a slow show and limited interest, but wait, there was a wrench in that works. Nearly every person who walked up was truly engaged, and almost all that stopped bought at least one book. This was a magnificent major difference, and because of this, it was a solid day. Because of people showing up to see me it was a good day. Because of the company of it was a good day.
With that in mind, thank to Kearsley for hosting. Thanks to Diana for the great conversations and company, and thanks to all the people who bought books to support authors. It was a fun time.
So as the sun sets on another day, the spirit of Flint is strong. Even though there were not a ton of people, it was a strong showing of proud band members, parents, and people. You know what, they made it work, no matter what.
Sleep sweet, love deeply, and be fantastic…
