The sun sets on another day…
Clear, bright, powerful, stunning. These are a few words that come to mind as I watch the sun set in the western sky. In the center was powerful, and it is there I consider the day right now.
Inside this world, there are many people seeking power right now. Some are seeking influence and define themselves by mysterious counts of followers. Some are politicians and define themselves by their control. Some are just people who define themselves by how they affect other people. Many others seek different types of power, and as they do, they find their way to positive or negative ends.
Actual power, in my opinion, is never having to use true power. Those who are truly powerful do not necessarily show that power freely. Those people are unaffected by the view and are only involved in opinion discussions when they can help guide others. They do not always volunteer their wisdom but instead wait until they are asked for it or document it with no audience in mind. Like physical strength, people with actual power are often humble. While others boast and push the envelope or attempt to belittle others, people with power are often seen lifting others instead.
Who are you? Are you someone who listens and learns and stays humble? Are you someone who lifts others? Do you take the time to understand beyond your view? Do people know when you speak that, you are being earnest? Are you someone who the world can trust or someone that does not think for themselves at all?
So as the sun sets on another day, let’s be powerful and show the world that we can lift each other high, and in the process, why not make a few other people happy. Not because we have to, but instead because it is the right thing to do. Be a powerful person, and make your day a better day by helping others, no matter what.
