The sun sets on another day…
Sunset is up there somewhere. There are clouds and rain and lots of fun floating around, and far above, the sun is setting slowly in the western sky, cascading colors above the rain-filled clouds.
I listened well today and found another person with a story, another person who is looking for more and finding more by opening their mind to, well, more. Too many “mores” in this paragraph.
Listening let me hear a story today. It was a story I have heard often. It is a story I have lived before. A person lost someone special, and as they lost that person they were coerced by another person into an fantastic relationship that could only be described as perfect. As the relationship matured the level of negativity increased, until it was no longer a good relationship, at all.
The idea of a narcissistic sociopath is not new. It is a person who manipulates everyone to get what they want. As they do so it becomes apparent that often they are not sure of what they wanted to begin with, and often it ends painfully.
With this person today, they walked away and have not looked back. They have found a new lease on life and a new series of wins that will allow them to be complete. This is the most favorable outcome of any bad relationship. For both people to find their center and to become better people. After all, if we hold a grudge forever, we only hold on to our pain.
So as the sun sets on another day, I am glad I met this person. Not because of the pain they went through but because now they will find their way and make their world more complete each day, no matter what. Do the same, and let’s find a way to happiness!
Sleep sweet, love deeply, and don’t be afraid to love again…
