Riddles…

The sun sets on another day…

Sunset was a fiery mess in the sky as clouds fought with the fiery inferno shining in the west. Each day I wonder who will win, and each day, it is me for the sunset I get to enjoy.

In mythology, there are numerous stories of inequity in relationships. In these stories, often, one side sees a situation as far different than the other. Immediately coming to mind is Zeus, who seems to have a different human woman fairly consistently that thought he was madly in love with them while he barely remembered. By that same token, numerous love stories are filled with a man or a woman being head over heels for someone that barely knows the other exists.

Seems like a lot of fun, right? Maybe not.

I was thinking about it today that maybe the world would be a better place if we were open and honest with each other. Of course that also means the world would only be a better place if that honesty is heard.

Ick.

That puts us in a unique situation. One without an easy solution. If we are sincere and we listen and hear entirely, then maybe we will have wonderful lives and special relationships. On the other hand, if either side waivers, we are pretty much stuck. Either one person is being honest and not being listened to, or a person is hearing but not getting the truth.

Like I said, ick.

I am hopeful though. If just a few can start setting a precendent, perhaps the world will be ready to change.

So as the sun sets on another day, I will probably laugh about this post later, but for now, as the sunset is history, I will smile and be aware that today was a good day. I hope your day was super as well and I hope you find peace all you can, no matter what.

Sleep sweet, l;ove life, and carry on…
