The sun sets on another day…
Sunset was wet and cold again. It didn’t really bother me because I went to a good dinner and had a great night.
Today I’m going to share with you some weirdness. I have never been a fan of haiku. Although some are very beautiful usually you have to stretch to make sense out of something that is working under constrained syllables. I am often reminded of having to deal with structured poetry in Latin and other languages. Yuck.
For some reason though, last night at dinner we started having fun with haikus. Trying to fit a series of emotions or thoughts into a few words is a challenge and often the end result can be interpreted many ways. With that in mind I hope that you enjoy the following.
Finish with the sweets
From Sugar to Spice taste all
Lose thoughts in a kissPassion flows from all
Two hearts find extreme meaning
My heart handles noneBread pudding is abound
Taste and savor the warm carbs
Eat to hearts contentDrown in the deep sea
AAS and DJS 2022
I feel the water engulf me
I float to the sky
So as the sun sets on another day, sometimes passion and emotion find a way. Thanks for taking the time to share a few strangely formatted sentences with me and I hope you enjoy your night, no matter what.
Sleep sweet, love life, and haiku Matata..
